Reaction of Co(saldet) with carbon dioxide in alcoholic solution for catalytic purposes of carbon dioxide reactions

 خلاصه مقاله:
We have reported the reaction of the Co(saldet) complex with sodium borohydride and carbon
dioxide in alcoholic solution. Carbon dioxide fixation in its intact form is suggested from
bifunctional complex containing in their structure a nucleophilic cobalt(I) and an alkali cation:
Co(saldet)Na [saldet = Bis(salicylaldehyde)diethylene-triimine]. We have brought a transition
metal in low oxidation state (basic center) and an alkali cation (acidic center) close together within
the same complex skeleton. This reaction can be help to catalytic reactions of carbon dioxide.
